On view at Liaigre, in aimed at the living.

Liaigre presents an exhibition by Adler Guerrier featuring new works contemplating the conditions necessary for living and forms that call forth riches in our everyday life.

Guerrier’s practice engages place as a site for individual and communal narratives. Through various media including photography, painting, language, collage, and sculpture, the practice aims to amplify and reiterate the poetics we used to shape the spaces we occupy and their inherent relations to our flourishing. Guerrier’s artistic worldview is informed by his immigrant Caribbean narrative, the continual and fraternal struggles in blackness, and by attempts to leverage positions for betterment of the world.

The exhibition embodies the dialogue Liaigre is establishing with the Miami art scene, inspired by the multitude of cultures and traditions that define the city’s identity.
